STROVE 4.0

The primary objective of this application is to assist individuals learning Swahili in grasping the structure of Swahili verbs by utilizing the widely recognized "STROVE" acronym, which many students become acquainted with through P.M. Wilson's "Simplified Swahili." The components of the acronym are as follows:

• S = Subject
• T = Tense
• R = Relative
• O = Object
• V = Verb
• E = Ending

This application is not designed as a translator; rather, it serves as a valuable tool for translation, aiding users in comprehending the proper conjugation of verbs and enhancing their understanding of the full meaning embedded in Swahili verbs.

Users can interact with the application by adjusting the dials corresponding to each verb aspect. Upon selecting a correct conjugation, the interface provides visual feedback by changing the screen color to green.

The app is organized into four distinct sections:

1. Verbs Basic: This section introduces the positive and negative m/wa and m/mi subject prefixes alongside a limited range of basic verb tenses, making it suitable for beginners. Error checking is included.
2. Verbs Pro: Expanding on the previous section, this area encompasses subject prefixes for all noun classes, a comprehensive list of verb tenses, along with objects and passive verbs. It is important to note that while some verb conjugations may be technically accurate, they might not always be comprehensible. Error checking is also present.
3. Adjectives: This section aids users in understanding m/wa and m/mi agreements for consonant, vowel stem, and Arabic adjectives.
4. S+T+R+O+V+E: This area features a broad range of possible permutations (though error checking has not yet been implemented).

The app provides users with the option to add new verbs via the "Enter Verb" view. Users should input verbs prefixed with "ku-" and employ the appropriate suffixes -a, -i, -u, or -e, followed by the corresponding translation.

Future updates will introduce additional verb tenses and derivations over the coming months, with prepositional endings and relatives prioritized for implementation.
